Nailed It!

Just got my nails done.

I cant help myself to be so proud of my nail art!

It might not be interesting for you but for me, Its  super.

Anyway it got that retro vibe going on with its geometric designs.

Truth is I saw similar pattern on Pinterest specifically from Michelle Phan's page and I wasn't sure if the manicurist would be able to do a bit complex design so I've chosen this instead.

If you can tell I was missing one color from its original design but I just used a light blue instead.

Turns out it went well.

Lavenderlingssss.....

Feeling lavenderly this days because of the HOT weather!

I wanted to paint my nails with something cool for the eyes.

This showed up!

Caronia is a Philippine brand that is super affordable!

I got this for only P33.00!

This is the shade.

I only painted my toes with this. I can't paint my nails.Bugger being a nurse,huh?

Its a pastel lavender color which spoke to me and got excited to try it on.

Have to admit. I'am rocking it! aha

Polish Me Nails: ELF

Its already 1am still not sleeping cause of my Insomia's kicking in and i just gotta blog.

Its been like this since i dont know.

Anyway i have painted my nails,at last! cause i have been lazy re applying my polish over and over because I get my nails chipped easily so decided not to put polish for few days instead anywho.. I decided to apply my new ELF polish in Innocent which is this...

What I love about it:

1. Pigmentation is great. its sheer at first but its buildable. This is 2 coats by the way.

2. I love the nudy pink tone it has. Very simple, clean and quite elegant looking. 

3. It dries up pretty quick.

4. This stayed on longer than i thought. Pretty much 5days. So not bad for a cheap american brand nail polish.

What I hate about it:

1.  Its Brush! its awful! If you can see in the picture it still has some streaks and left parts that didnt coated well enough to make everything equal. Its annoying! I dont like the brush.

ELF MATTE FINISHER POLISH

ELF ELF ELF!!
Surprise Surprise! Another Great buy from ELF!
Another late blog, so sorry.. but il get straight to the point.
I got this last month, The ELF Matte Finisher and i used this twice already cause i was a bit skeptical with the thought of MATTE finishes cause i wasnt that much used to the looks of it. But since ive seen it in Facebook alot of online store's where sporting some of this matte finishers and most of their advertisement's were quite alluring and sexy that i went searching again for this in my cabinet. And started to use it again.;)

OPI had a version of this way way back but i didnt get it cause you know OPI are quite not worth the price. Just opinion. So Thank GOD ELF released one of their own for a cheaper and worth it price!:) What i like about ELF is that they look after their buyers and one way of proving that are the features of each nail polish it gives such as this at the bottom.

Another plus points are! They dont test on animals AND they support charity. Way to go ELF!:)

Now, On with the product. Packaging, the usual ELF packaging no harm there but as i noticed while i keep getting these nail polishes the problem is that for most of my the polishes I own from them the top of the bottle (the part you hold when polishing your nails) DOES NOT align with the bottle it self when I twist it back on. I have no idea why it does this but it just does.  

Nothing to complain over because it was only cheap and it was an easy clean up.

This is how it looks inside, a opaque liquid..

Another downfall it builds up crust at the top of the bottle which irritates me. I find it unhygienic to have. hope my camera justifies it but i guess it cant.:( sorry..

The brush i dont have any complain about it. Its perfectly fine for me. Doesnt bother me at all. 

To test the effectivity of this product and to show it works perfectly worth the OPI il use another ELF polish which is Bubblegum Pink cause its spring/summer neon colors are great to use.

Here it is applied without any top coat. Just plain Bubblegum Pink:)

And here it is with the ELF Matte Finisher. 

Compare the two:)

My review, the feel of the product is very soothing cause if the coldness it brings to my nails. YES! its cold upon application which i like! It dries up quick which i need for a top coat to be cause i need to move fast. I dont like sitting duck waiting for just my nails to dry up. I like how it looks now cause its different and unusual which sometimes is great and its cold to the eyes which is a good thing for me during this harsh heat weather And one last thing is that it doesn't chip that easy which was my problem with some of ELF nail polishes is that they chip out easily but when applied with this it stays there for quite a time. So overall! GREAT JOB ELF! I totally recommend this than getting a much expensive version of this!:)

DIY ILLAMASQUA Nail Quills!

For those who don't know Illamasqua Cosmetics they are a High End Brand of makeup that is very famous in London, England. I find their line quit mysterious and develish in a good way i guess especially the way they advertise their company. quite uncommon kind of gimmik but i love it!

Here to present to you one of their famous nail product that i been dying to have but unfortunately Illamasqua doesnt sell their line here and even though they would cant afford it.

Handmade Bespoke Nail Quills

This cost for L35 in london, you do the math! Insanely Expensive! These were handmadewhich i guess made it expensive. 

"Two Nail Quills per set, designed to be worn on either thumb. Featuring a matt black finish and silver tip, match your Nail Quill with our new matt black Nail Varnish in Scorn." - Illamasqua

But no need to waste your money on that! Learned this from klaire a fantastic makeup Guru!
sharing with you this neat DIY illamasqua nail quills that is super easy!

You'll Need:

• Scissor
• Tape
• Fake Nails
• Silver Varnish
• Black Varnish
• Top Coat (nail polish)
• Nail File

Step 1:

File each nail to have even and smooth edges.

Step 2:

Mark where your nail would end if you have/had short nails,

it dosen't matter what kind of pen you use to mark the nail, 

it's just a guideline so that you know where to cut the nail.

Step 3:

Cut the nail from the outer mark to the inner point.

Step 4:

You can leave the edges with an angle if you want 

but I'm going to file down the edges with a nail file (soft side) 

as I'm not too fond of having the sides pointy.

Step 5:

 Take a black nail varnish (or just use any colour you want) and paint the edges.

Apply at least 2 thick coats of black nail varnish over them. 

give the first coat around 5 minutes to dry and for the second coat 

Let them Dry!

Step 6:

Take the slices of tape and apply them like this across the nail. Now the Illamasqua Nail Quills had a much sharper angle to the silver part of the nail but I wanted to make it a bit differently. If you want the nail quills to look more accurate just angle it more :)

Step 7:

Apply a silver Nail Varnish over the end of the nail, starting at the end of the nail and then working your way down. Be careful not to have too much nail varnish on the brush!!

Step 8:

Don't risk removing the tape till you are sure the silver nail varnish is dry. Go watch a film or something while you're waiting, you don't want to mess up at this point and if dry ready to remove the tape gently.

Step 9:

Top coat, dry and your done!!

ELF Nailed It!

Moving on with more of my ELF craze got these last month with my WNW Craze Polish and as you can see iv been shopping online with ELF and Wet n Wild. I dont know what got in to me but those 2 brands keeps on coming at me ahaha! Now that i almost have all of the Elf polish i need to stop buying nail polish cause i havent used alot of them. 

Anyway still have 2 more Elf polish i want but still waiting for that so watch for it!

I got 5 last month from ELF but the last one was i think an accident my seller i guess gave me 2 party purple polush which i just ordered 1. So hmmm... thanks anyway! ahaha il def goin to buy from her again! ahaha

Lets start!

1. Party Purple

Sorry i seriously tried to get the shot a bit clearer but my cam is having a hard time focusing hmm..

Party Purple is not the best purple polish i have the but great pigmentation brush is fine not the best though. It has Glittery feel on it which i find it amusing rather than plain purple cause if it was plain i wont get it. Recently paired this with Wet n Wild's Glitz which i find great with. i like this shade but not crazy about it.

2. Metal Madness

I still dont know why i bought this am not again Crazy about it but some of you might. But its not that bad though it has again glittery feel on it and doesn't need a top coat cause of the gloss it gives but still suggest to apply a top coat over it. Its not my fave of all the Elf polish i got but its not that bad.

3. Dessert Haze

I love the colour of this product! Now this is a favorite! It is a very unique neutral that is grey/taupe. This polish also stays on very a decent amount of time without chipping. two coats worked for me as i was running out the door but i'm going to do three next time. staying power is awesome. Definitely buying again.

4. Bubble Gum Pink

To be honest I bought this for my 3-yr-old cousin. But I'm amazed to say that I like it for myself. It's really a very tender pink, not at all garish. I'm wearing it on my toes now, and will use it on my hands in the summer. I did get some streaking, but I think it was because I was in a hurry and didn't let the layers dry at all. Anyway, a fun polish, but I need something more Barbie for my little sweetie. And ya! this shade reminds me of Malibu Barbie which i dont usually dont border myself in but it really made me smile ahaha i feel so girly whenever wearing this.

Pricey than the Wet n Wild.
