Cook Book For College Students!

This book was actually from my brother who is still in his senior year. I found this book in his room and since I am into cooking and stuff I went nuts after reading this! This has basically everything that a kid can do. And I was a bit sad that I wasn't able to get this while I was in college. Well actually its not for college students alone but for everyone who has a very limited time to cook or even prepare meals for themselves.

I'll be showing you every features that this book has except for all the recipes in it. It'll practically take 5 pages of my blog to post everything in this book! aha we dont want that right, aha anyway I am not sure if this still available but my brother got this at National Bookstore probably its still so go and get a copy cause everything is easy meals for BUSY BUSY and ON THE BUDGET people. Like me! aha

What's Cooking??

I've noticed that I lack some cooking equipment or tools that I need for my baking self lessons.
Went to Japan Home Center store where everything is practically cheap and bought myself some things that I need and kinda have to replace some of my old baking tools. As you can see most of these are molding tools especially for cupcakes cause I am planning to do some.

So I found some mini silicon cupcake bases which are the colorful molds in tthe picture. Aren't they cute!
All of this cost for only P66! except for the Cookbook. I found that in our mini library which is my brother's book. Anyway i'll discuss that later on in my next vlog.

Knowing I have alot of this stuff, I was excited to use them. So decided to do another "What's Cooking?" blog!
Photobucket
So here,I am baking a Butter Cake.
Photobucket
Covered it with a foil so that it will help to distribute the heat evenly around the mold.
Photobucket
Set it for 177 deg. celsius for 25 mins.

While waiting, I am reading my brother's old cook book.

It has finally rose up!

Half Successful Brownie Day

Photobucket
Another LATE LATE vlog. aha
Last month my dad and my brother bought this for me. A Electric Oven. This past days I have been learning baking and of course my ever so supportive dad persuaded my brother to use his credit card to buy me a Electric Oven and for those who dont know my dad have been into food business for already like a year and he was really encouraging me to go into that field with him. So iam really learning this for him and hope with this Oven I can make my daddy proud.:)
Photobucket
We got this for P3000 its a Kyowa brand which am not really sure what brands are great but this of all the oven we checked this was quite big enough and cheap. I hope quality's great too!

The next day i just have to bake right a away and my dad suggested to do something common as Brownies.
So I did!
Again cant show the recipe for this cause this might turn into a business venture one day. Ahaha I hope so..
So followed what was instructed for the heat setting and stuff.
Photobucket
My first batch of brownie. I was really praying that they'd turn out great.Photobucket
They started to pull up!!!:)
Photobucket
I said to myself here "This was soooo easy!"
Photobucket
End result...
BURNT! everything burned except the middle sections of the brownies.
Darn it! i was pretty excited and sure to myself that this was just a easy baking. urgh!
Photobucket
I felt like crying when i saw this. I felt like I failed an exam:(
Photobucket
Try and TRY again, Luckily there were still abit left so have to reset my heat settings and time.
Photobucket
End result was it didnt puff out this time but a bit fudgier than my first one. And another thing was I was scared removing them from the mold. I feel they were going to collapse if i remove the molds.

I placed Vanilla ice cream on top for perfect sweetness!
Still have to work on the molds but the taste was great!

What's Cooking??

PhotobucketI was stressed out because of my small business, buyers demands and orders piling up so I've decided to release that stress by cooking something or baking. Usually whenever I'am stressed out I do a makeup look but I realized that I shouldn't box myself to one thing. Why not try to cook, Right?
Its a field that am not that knowledgeable and its what my hubby and my dad wanted me to learn. Especially my dad! he's into foods now a days. He's been making burger patties, nuggets and etc. He's quite talented actually, I think thats where i got my talent from. My mom? i dont know what she's good at. I think in business cause she's a graduate of Accountancy and she has her own business running. Is that even a talent or a skill? whateve's! aha

So this afternoon, perfect timing cause its raining! I love a rainy weather.
I'am so inspired whenever its raining! Its cold and i love rain.

I can't show the recipe cause my dad plans to make my "training" cook to be a business one day. HOPEFULLY i can get the hang of it.

Here am cooking Maja Blanca a Philippine delicacy. Famous here.
And i cant believe im cooking it! aha
Photobucket
This is the time that i have to place it in a mold but i dont have.
Photobucket
I just placed in a regular bowl cause its just for tasting trial aha
and after that i cool it down for 30mins and placed it in the fridge.
Photobucket
Viola!
Ready to eat! YUM!
